Blunders: Where do they come from?

Where do blunders come from? If only one could scan his brain and eliminate the "blunder gene" completely! My Anzac Day Weekender ended with a "tragedy". I blundered a piece in one move in a completely winning position.

Does it mean i should get disillusioned in chess? I do not think so. I guess I should be humble instead and simply accept that blunders are part of the game..same as brilliancies :).
